Hand washing means washing our hands. Since childhood we all have been ask to wash our hands before we eat food. But do we actually know the real purpose of hand washing ?

The purpose of hand washing is to clean our hands of dirt and germs. Usually, hand washing is done with soap and water. However, it can also be done with antibacterial gels or wet clothes. To be effective, hand washing needs to be done thoroughly. Given below are the 5 major reasons why hand washing is so important :

1. It Protects us : Washing our hands before we eat and regularly throughout the day gets rid of bacteria and viruses that could cause us to become ill.
